🌟 Ultimate 7-Day Morocco Desert Adventure: Marrakech to Merzouga 🌟
DAY 1 ✈️
Arrival in Marrakech Menara Airport
According to the time of arrival, you will be transferred from the airport towards the riad/hotel. If your arrival time is in the early morning, you can discover the city on the first day. Otherwise, the tour will be postponed until your return to Marrakech at the end of the 7 days Desert Tour from Marrakesh to Merzouga, with Dinner in a local restaurant. Lodging in a riad/hotel, and a very romantic feature.
DAY 2 🏔️
Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Tizi N’tichka Pass → Ait Ben Haddou → Roses Valley → Dades Valley
The 7 Days Itinerary from Marrakech begins with an early departure from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakesh. Then cross the fascinating mountains of the High Atlas, as well as the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass (2260m over sea level). Stops will be made for panoramic views over the breathtaking scenery.
🏰 Then we continue to visit Ait Ben Haddou’s famous Kasbah. Fortified village listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including, Alexander, The Mummy, Gladiator…etc. Also some TV shows including Game Of Thrones.
🌹 After that, we head to the roses valley and the Dades valley where will have our first night with dinner and breakfast included.
DAY 3 🏜️
Dades Valley → Todgha Gorges → Tinjdad → Touroug → Erfoud → Merzouga Sahara Desert
In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Todgha Valley from Dades Valley. We will visit one of Morocco’s most intriguing oases. Todra and walk along the approximately 300m high canyons that is the best place for climbers.
🏜️ Then we will continue our trip to the Merzouga desert. Along our route, we will pass through many Berber villages and Erfoud, which will give us a sense of the start of the Saharan atmosphere. The final step of the 3rd day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert tour in 7 days will be arrival to Merzouga and overnight in a hotel/riad.
DAY 4 🐪
Full Day to Visit Around Merzouga Desert
After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, up to 4×4 to start the tour in the dunes of the Erg Chebbi, an inhabited area of the sand desert. Amongst the many stops, we are waiting for. We will know how and where travel families live in the region. Wild oasis in the middle of nowhere and dramatic desert scenery and small villages.
🎵 Inevitable stop by the village of the Khamelia people native to Mali, who will make us enjoy a good Gnawa music concert while you drink the delicious taste of the mint tea, after that, we will return to the hotel.
🐪 You will ride the camels for more than an hour and a half. The thread trail among the dunes and in the heart of the desert to see the beautiful sunset. Covered by the big sand dune. and enjoy the sound of the drums. Delicious dinner while you see the sky full of stars and sleep in a nomadic tent.
DAY 5 🏁
Merzouga → Taouz → Road of Dakar Race → Ouzina Village → Ramlia Village → Tafraoute Sidi Ali
After breakfast we will leave Merzouga via the great route of the dunes crossing the desert by the road of the Dakar race, we will stop in a panoramic view to watch the huge desert with the desert trees from above, and we will continue our trip to the village of Taouz where we will re-enter the track of the Dakar in the direction of the Erg of Ouzina and its village.
🏛️ It is an old Berber settlement very close to the Algerian border, after we visit that small Berber village we will drive through Ramlia Village then we will have our lunch there. In the afternoon we will head to Tafraoute Sidi Ali which is famous for metal mines, and an overnight stay in a Berber hotel with dinner and breakfast included.
DAY 6 🌴
Tafraoute Sidi Ali → Zagora → Agdz → Ait Saoune Curves → Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we will cross Oumjrane towards Zagora. We’ll have lunch there and then go to Agdz. After your lunch, we make our way to Tamnougalt. It is a kasbah and an oasis of date palms in the Atlas Mountains and is located in the Draa Valley in Morocco.
🏰 Approximately 75 kilometers south of Ouarzazate. The village is within drive distance of Agdez and has a famous Kasbah. The Jbel Kissane rises to the north overlooking the landscape then we continue our way to Ouarzazate where we will spend a night there.
DAY 7 🎬
Ouarzazate Studios → Ounila Valley → Telaout Kasbah → Tizi N’tichka Curves → Marrakech
On the final day of 7 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour. After breakfast. we will visit a world-famous cinema studio (Atlas studios) in Ouarzazate.
🏰 Our journey continues to the next point of Kasbah Teloute which was built just on the caravan path between Marrakesh and the Sahara via the Ounila Valley, At last, continue our tour towards Marrakech via the High Atlas. We will cross the beautiful valley of Ounila and the village of Telouet where we can have lunch at a local restaurant.
