Marrakech → Ourika Valley → Imlil Valley → Lalla Takerkoust Lake → Marrakech
Starting your day trip by a fast pick up from your accommodation to drive south of Marrakech for an adventure day tour through Ourika/Imlil Valleys.
🌿 Valley 1: Ourika Valley
After around 38 Kms, the lush valley of Ourika starts. This pristine valley stands at the base of the Atlas mountains. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, to delight yourself in the sound of the river that flows at the bottom of the valley and to see some Barbary monkeys.
🏔️ You’ll admire the Snow-covered mountains overlook the whole area. Please keep in mind Whenever you wish, we can make a stop to enjoy the stunning views with diverse landscapes and Berber villages.
🌰 On the way, you have the possibility of visiting an argan cooperative run by women, where women show you how the argan nut is processed into argan oil, Amlou, soap, and other cosmetic products.
🌳 The Valley of Ourika is planted with olive, walnut, apple, apricot, cherry trees and much more. We will visit a local “Berber” house to explore their way of life and enjoy the Berber tea. Then we head to a small village at the base of the valley called Setti-Fatma. The area around it is filled with almond trees and mud-brick Berber villages.
🏔️ Valley 2: Imlil Valley
After that, we will continue through the second valley Imlil valley. Imlil is a beautiful heaven for hiking in Morocco! Just the journey to Imlil can take your breath away.
🛤️ The road is twisted and interesting, much less frequented than other Atlas mountains’ valleys in the Marrakech area. A glimpse of the small Berber villages, the lazy river, and the walnut tree leaves shining in the sunlight will be the beginning of your trip.
⛰️ This mountain village is often the starting out point for people who are climbing to the top of Mount Toubkal. It’s also an excellent base if you simply want to enjoy hiking in the region.
🏞️ Valley 3: Lalla Takerkoust Lake
Leave Imlil behind and drive towards the lake of Lalla Takerkoust This place is well known as the heaven of peace and coolness, and it is an ideal place for a quick escape from the heat and noisiness of the red city.
⚡ Built-in time of the French protectorate, the Lala Takerkoust Lake provides Marrakech and its region with electricity. In addition, it is beautiful scenery to enjoy many activities at the bottom of the Atlas Mountains.
