🌟 3 Days of Fish & Coast – Morocco Road Trip Itinerary 🌟
DAY 1 🐚
Marrakech → Essaouira – Argan Trees, Blue Medina & Seafood Lunch (190 Km)
After an early pick up from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech, you will start your coastal adventure by leaving the busy souks of Marrakech behind and heading west toward the Atlantic. Stop at a women-run Argan oil cooperative where you’ll see how this famous Moroccan product is made.
🏛️ Arrival in Essaouira, one of Morocco’s most beautiful coastal towns, known for its relaxed atmosphere and historic Portuguese ramparts. Wander the UNESCO-listed Medina of Essaouira with its blue-and-white architecture and artisan shops. Walk along the Skala de la Ville where old cannons still face the Atlantic.
🐟 You will have lunch at the Essaouira fish market where you can select your seafood straight from the catch and have it grilled on the spot — a true Moroccan food experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel ride on Essaouira beach or relax with mint tea at a rooftop terrace.
Spend your first night in a traditional riad in Essaouira just steps from the beach and medina.
DAY 2 🐟
Essaouira → Agadir – Scenic Drive, Surf Villages & Fishing Culture (175 Km)
Early morning departure with a scenic coastal drive from Essaouira to Agadir, one of Morocco’s best road trips along the Atlantic Ocean. You will pass through argan tree forests and rolling hills with the Atlantic always nearby.
🏄 Optional stops include Tamri, a small fishing town surrounded by sand dunes — perfect for camel rides or quad biking by the beach. Continue through Aghroud, a charming village where colorful homes and authentic fishing boats create a postcard-worthy setting, then to Taghazout, a vibrant surf destination.
🏖️ Upon arrival in Agadir, Morocco’s modern coastal city, you can spend the afternoon at the Agadir Marina, walk the Corniche, or simply unwind on the beach. In the evening, enjoy a delicious grilled fish dinner at one of Agadir’s top seafood restaurants.
Spend your second night in a beachside hotel in Agadir with sea views and modern comforts.
DAY 3 🎣
Agadir → Marrakech – Souks, Cable Car & Scenic Return (250 Km)
After an early wake up, you will explore more of Agadir’s local culture before your return to Marrakech. Visit Souk El Had, one of the largest traditional markets in southern Morocco, where you can browse spices, fish, ceramics, and handicrafts.
🚡 You will have the chance to take the Agadir cable car (Téléphérique) to the Agadir Oufella kasbah ruins offering stunning vistas of the city and the coast — a perfect spot for travel photography.
🫒 After lunch, departure back to Marrakech through the High Atlas foothills with a final stop at another argan oil cooperative in the countryside, supporting local women’s initiatives before arriving to Marrakech where the coastal road trip end with a drop off at your hotel or Riad. ✨
