🌟 3-Day Morocco Journey: From Agadir to the Sahara and Marrakech 🌟

DAY 1 🏞️

Agadir → Taliouine → Tazenakht → Draa Valley → Agdz (350 Km)

After an early pick up from your hotel or Riad in Agadir, you will start your Moroccan adventure through the majestic Anti-Atlas Mountains with stunning argan-covered hills and dramatic rock formations.

🌸 First stop in Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco, where you will visit a local saffron cooperative and learn about this precious spice rooted in Berber tradition. Continuation through Tazenakht, famous for its handwoven Berber rugs.

🌴 Journey through the breathtaking Draa Valley, the longest river valley in Morocco, lined with millions of date palms and fortified mudbrick villages. Arrival in Agdz, a peaceful oasis town where you will explore the nearby Kasbah Tamnougalt, a centuries-old fortress from the trans-Saharan caravan routes.

Spend your first night in a traditional kasbah-style guesthouse surrounded by palm groves and desert peaks.

DAY 2 🏜️

Agdz → Nkob → Rissani → Merzouga Dunes (280 Km)

Early breakfast and departure deeper into the Moroccan south through Nkob village with its impressive 45 mudbrick kasbahs set against the backdrop of the arid Jbel Saghro Mountains. The landscapes become increasingly remote and lunar-like.

🏛️ Stop in Rissani, once a thriving market town on the ancient caravan trade routes, before reaching Merzouga where the vast golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise like a mirage from the flat plains.

🐪 Upon arrival, you will have the chance to enjoy a camel ride in the middle of the splendid Erg Chebbi Dunes, then you will have dinner with a wonderful Berber party around the campfire before spending your second night under nomadic tents in Merzouga Desert.

DAY 3 🌅

Merzouga → Valley of Roses → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech (350 Km)

After an early wake up, you will enjoy a short sunrise trekking over Erg Chebbi dunes, then departure toward central Morocco through the beautiful Valley of Roses with a stop in Kelaat M’Gouna, famous for its rosewater distilleries.

🌹 You will have the chance to visit a rose cooperative and shop for natural cosmetics made from local Damascus roses. Continuation through the verdant oasis of Skoura before reaching the iconic Aït Ben Haddou – a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site.

🏰 Explore this fortified village of clay houses that served as backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Journey continues over the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass with a stop at a women-run argan oil cooperative before arriving to Marrakech where the desert tour end with a drop off at your hotel or Riad. ✨
